RabbleRouser, a new fantasy politics app on the App Store and Google Play, lets players draft real members of Congress and score points for everything those lawmakers actually do in office, tracked automatically. The app arrives as Americans head to the polls for the midterms.
-- AUSTIN, Texas — As Americans head to the polls for the midterm elections, a new free app offers a different way to follow Congress: drafting it. RabbleRouser, available on the App Store and Google Play, is a fantasy league where players draft real U.S. senators and representatives and score points based on what those lawmakers actually do in office.
The scoring works like fantasy football, with legislation in place of touchdowns. A bill signed into law is worth 100 points. Passing a bill through the House or Senate earns 25, introducing one earns 10, and each yea or nay vote earns 4. Skipping a vote costs points, and working across the aisle earns a bipartisan bonus. Scores update automatically throughout the day from official government data.
That makes every score a running report card. A lawmaker’s point total shows at a glance who is showing up, voting, and moving legislation, and who is not. Through Oct. 29, RabbleRouser has recorded more than 239,000 scoring plays across Congress in 2026, including more than 4,500 missed votes that cost lawmakers points. So who would go first in a RabbleRouser draft? So far this year, the top scorer in all of Congress is Rep. Mike Lawler (R-N.Y.), with 3,391 points, followed by Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-D.C.).
“Plenty of people can name every starting quarterback in the NFL but not the person representing them in Congress,” said Alex Kurkowski, founder of RabbleRouser. “Fantasy football turned casual viewers into fans who know every stat. RabbleRouser brings that to politics. When a senator costs a team its weekly matchup by skipping a vote, people start paying attention, and they start holding that senator accountable.”
RabbleRouser is built for both sides. Every member of Congress is scored by the same rules, regardless of party, and winning takes picks from across the aisle: every team RabbleRouser players have drafted so far includes both Democrats and Republicans. That turns politics into something friends, family members and coworkers with different views can share, compete over and have fun with.
“Politics usually splits people into teams,” Kurkowski said. “RabbleRouser lets them pick their own. A league can have a progressive and a conservative trading senators and trash talking over the same matchup, and it is one of the few places where Democrats and Republicans are rooting for the same thing: points.”
Most fantasy apps stick to football and basketball, while the political games drawing headlines involve betting money. RabbleRouser is free to play, with no betting involved. It is built like the fantasy sports apps players already know, with live drafts, weekly head-to-head matchups, trades, waivers, standings, and season-ending playoffs. Players can start a private league with friends or join an open league and begin playing right away.
The timing offers a natural starting point. The midterm elections will reshape Congress, and a new class of lawmakers takes office in January, giving players a fresh field of rookies to draft.
RabbleRouser is designed to make politics fun to follow, track, and talk about for everyone. Political junkies who already watch every vote finally get a game built for them, and voters who feel disconnected from Washington get a reason to check in on Congress every day.
RabbleRouser is free and available now on the App Store and Google Play. More information is available at https://rabblerouser.ai.
