ClaimQI Closes Seed Funding Round, Advances Pending Nebraska Economic Development Grant

Sep 8, 2026

Omaha, US, September 8th, 2026, FinanceWire

ClaimQI, Inc., a healthcare claims intelligence company, today announced the close of its seed funding round, raising just under $500,000, alongside a pending $150,000 grant with the Nebraska Department of Economic Development (NE DED), subject to final approval. The announcement follows CQuence Health's announcement earlier today on its investment in and strategic support for ClaimQI as its newest portfolio company. The news comes a day ahead of ClaimQI's participation and sponsorship at the Healthcare Payment & Revenue Integrity (HPRI) Congress in Chicago, where ClaimQI is serving as a Community Partner.

"This is a genuinely exciting moment for ClaimQI," said Chad Wells, President and CEO of ClaimQI. "Closing this round, with CQuence Health's backing and partnership, gives us the capital to bring the Platform and Payer Portal to market at the scale Medicare payers need. And having the state of Nebraska consider standing behind an Omaha-built company doing this kind of work is exactly the kind of support that makes building here worth it."

The seed round closes at just under $500,000 and includes investments from four private investors in addition to CQuence. ClaimQI also received notice of earning a $150,000 Innovation and Prototype grant from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development, which remains pending final approval. The raised capital is earmarked to scale the ClaimQI Platform and Payer Portal, and expand the company's presence across the Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Medigap, and self-funded ERISA markets.

ClaimQI will formally launch its Platform and Payer Portal for Medicare payers on September 9 at the HPRI Congress at the Radisson Blu Aqua Hotel in Chicago, where the company is serving as a Community Partner. Attendees can visit ClaimQI at booth #1, or visit www.claimqi.ai for more information.

About ClaimQI, Inc.

ClaimQI, Inc. is a healthcare claims intelligence company delivering fraud, waste, and abuse (FWA) prevention for health plans across Medicare Advantage, Medicaid, Medigap, and self-funded ERISA markets. Rather than leading with claims scoring on probabilistic risk and statistical anomaly detection, ClaimQI validates every claim against deterministic coverage rules, codes, and policy language, producing defensible, citation-backed determinations that avoid AI-inherent risks. ClaimQI's underlying AI/LLM methodology, which produces this citation-driven output while keeping claims data itself out of the AI model, is the subject of a pending U.S. patent application. ClaimQI was founded by Chad Wells and Janna Hart, whose combined more than 50 years of experience spans executive leadership at health plans and payers, claims, compliance, and Special Investigations Unit (SIU) operations. ClaimQI is headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. Learn more at www.ClaimQI.ai.
